According to a recent TikTok "face-off," it seems like the celeb-favourite Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk has officially met its match in a drugstore dupe by Revlon.
The budget-friendly Revlon lipstick has been making waves across social media after beauty guru @glamzilla posted a TikTok video comparing the two shade swatches, and fans online are obsessed.
In case you're not familiar with the original shade, Pillow Talk was the revolutionary nude-pink matte lipstick shade from makeup brand, Charlotte Tilbury. It quickly became a shopper favourite thanks to its universally-flattering shade that is formulated to enhance your natural lip colour.
In fact, the power of Pillow Talk has influenced the brand to offer a total of three Pillow Talk shades in their lineup to accommodate a range of skin tones.
In addition to shopping the brand's Pillow Talk - Original, Charlotte Tilbury also offers Pillow Talk - Medium and Pillow Talk - Intense as part of the brand's infamous Pillow Talk collection.
Drugstore makeup brand, Revlon, has a similar matte lipstick formula that's billed as being comfortable, lightweight, and creamy. The shade range encompasses a variety of neutral and bold shades, but one shade in particular has been gaining popularity among the TikTok beauty community.
The Revlon Super Lustrous The Luscious Mattes Lipstick in shade 003 - Pick Me Up offers a nude, mauve-pink colour payoff that seems to rival Charlotte Tilbury's coveted Pillow Talk shade.
TikToker Glamzilla recently did an on-screen side-by-side lip swatch of the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk original lipstick and the Revlon 003 - Pick Me Up lipstick to test whether or not the two would be comparable dupes.
On the left side of the screen, she applied Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk original to the top and bottom of her lips. On the right side of the screen, she completed the same process with Revlon's 003 - Pick Me Up shade.
The result? In the words of Glamzilla, "It's definitely a dupe."
Both formulas offered a very similar nude-pink shade, with Revlon's 003 - Pick Me Up delivering a near-perfect colour match.
Most of the commenters on the TikTok video agreed with the verdict, with one person saying that they use the Revlon colour "all the time" and that it's their "hidden treasure." Another user commented saying that they were "so going to try this!"
However, one top commenter mentioned that Revlon is not cruelty-free, which could be a make-it or break-it deal for some shoppers on the hunt for a comparable Pillow Talk dupe.
It's official — Revlon's 003 - Pick Me Up is a must-try drugstore dupe if you're a fan of Charlotte Tilbury's original Pillow Talk shade. The side-by-side swatch comparison done by Glamzilla was proof of just how similar the two lipsticks are in colour and formula, and beauty buffs agree.
While some users may be wary of Revlon's testing standards, it's tough to deny that the drugstore dupe offers an ultra affordable price for the iconic Charlotte Tilbury shade.
